Laser Dentistry
Lasers offer precise control, advanced healing and increased comfort to patients in an effort to remedy a leading cause of dental disease and tooth loss.
Dentists employ the lasers to stimulate bone-producing cells, enhance circulation to heal tissues as well as to target and remove bacteria and diseased tissues in gum pockets. Lasers remove tissue, seal blood vessels and nerve endings, reduce bleeding and postoperative pain and swelling, often with little to no anesthetic.
Periodontal Disease
Periodontal disease affects about 80 percent of adults and left untreated, is directly associated with a host of other physical conditions, such as heart disease, low infant birth weight and diabetes. By addressing the underlying infection through the use of diode lasers, in conjunction with traditional treatment techniques, infections can be arrested before they cause physical destruction or loss of attachment around the tooth. |
